Instructors

Gail Eden (Chief Instructor) – Married with two children, Olivia & Archie. She was a member of the Tiverton Pony club as a child.

  • Preferred discipline : Showjumping

Caroline Brimblecombe – Married with two boys. Caroline does the Branch’s test training.

  • Preferred discipline:  All rounder

Louise Hutchinson – Very supportive aunt of Tilly. Regularly competes.

  • Preferred discipline: Dressage

Annaliese Johnson – Married to Chris, with a grown up child. Has been involved with the Silverton for over 20 years.

  • Preferred discipline: Dressage

Chris Johnson – Married to Annaliese, with a grown up child. Has been involved with the Silverton for over 20 years.

  • Preferred discipline: Cross Country/Show Jumping.

Pru McNulty – Regularly hunts with the Silverton and East Devon.

  • Preferred discipline: All rounder

Debbie NewtonPreferred discipline: All rounder.

Venues

Bicton Arena (Camp venue): Take the A376 towards Exmouth, take the B3179 to Woodbury.  Go through Woodbury to the crossroads, go straight across following the signs to Yettington.   Go through the village, Bicton Arena is on the left.

Bicton College, EX9 7BY: Take the A3052 towards Newton Poppleford.  Take the B3178 sign posted to Bicton Park.  Bicton College is on the right. Go into the main entrance and up the drive, pass the main house on your right and the yard is ahead.

Poltimore Park:  From Exeter take road to Broad Clyst. Turn left to Poltimore House and follow raod around and 1/4 mile gateway on left to field in front of Poltimore House.

Centyfield Eventing & Dressage Academy, Glebe Farm, Whitestone EX4 2HP:  Directions from A30. Leave the A30 at the Fingle Glen exit to Tedburn St Mary and Pathfinder village. At the mini-roundabout take the first left towards Tedburn St Mary. Proceed into Tedburn St Mary and turn right at the mini-roundabout towards the recreation ground. Continue for approximately 2 miles and at Heath Cross turn left signed Oldridge and Crediton. Take the first right towards Whitestone Church and Glebe Farm will be found on the left after about 1/2 mile. Look out for the palm trees!

Hyperion Equestrian Centre and Stud Farm, Clapham EX6 7YQ: Exit A38 at Kennford Services. Turn left through the village of Kennford.  Follow the road as it turns north and crosses back over the A38. Immediately after crossing the bridge turn left towards Clapham. As you approach the village watch out for “CLAPHAM” sign. Turn left at this sign and after about 1/4 mile you will find Hyperion Equestrian Centre and Stud Farm on the right hand side of the road.

Pontispool Farm, Norton FitzWarren, Taunton TA4 1BG:  Go up the M5, exit at junction 26 and follow signs to Wellington.  At the first roundabout turn right up A38 to Taunton.  At the next roundabout turn left.  At next roundabout turn left again for Wiveliscombe and Norton Fitzwarren.  As you leave Norton Fitzwarren go over a bridge and immediately turn left to Allerford.  Pontispool is about a mile from the turning on the right.

Rollestone Farm, Pennsylvania, Exeter EX4 5BJ: Rollestone Farm is at the top of Pennsylvania Road, where it joins Stoke Valley Road, at the junction where these roads meet. EX4 5BJ – Sat Nav or google/Apple maps will take you to the right place. If you’re coming from Crediton direction, come up Wreford’s Lane,  (Hilltop Riding School will be directly opposite), turn right at the top, then turn  left into Stoke Valley road and the driveway is on the left hand side almost immediately.  If you’re coming up Pennsylvania Road, turn right into Stoke Valley Road and the drive way is on your left almost immediately. Once on the drive way go past the big white house (Rollestone House) and the Pool House just after this, and follow the driveway round to the right. Keep going all the way down the driveway and the parking area is in the first yard you come to on the left.  You will see the outdoor arena there too.

Upton Pyne Equestrian Centre, EX5 5HY:  From the A377 (Exeter to Crediton Road) take the first turning on the right after Cowley Bridge signposted Brampford Speke/Upton Pyne. Proceed through the village of Upton Pyne and bear left at the Y junction signposted Jackmoor. Follow the road for half a mile. Upton Pyne Equestrian Centre is on the left immediately after Thorverton Stone. Please use the second gate.
